After Public Smackdown By Sarah Palin Rahm Emanuel Apologizes For “Retarded” Remark

by gary on Wednesday, February 3, 2010 14:23 EST

Barack Obama’s chief-of-staff, Rahm “dead fish” Emanuel was compelled to apologize after remarks he made at a private gathering of democrat/communist groups leaked out. At this meeting he called so of the far left progressives “retarded” because of their stances.

News of this angered many people including those who work with special needs children. After Rahm failed to even acknowledge the anger, the ‘Cuda fired up the old LOTUS (Laptop of the United States) and went after him.

Tail between his legs Rahmbo placed a call to Tim Shriver, who heads the Special Olympics, and apologized. Who knew Shriver, whose family founded the Special Olympics, was the official apology accepter for all of those with disabilities.

Deliciously, Megyn Kelly and Monica Crowley tear into Emanuel here:

Man, it’s good to have Kelly back at work! We missed her no holds barred style. We are also glad to see that motherhood has mellowed her out when it comes to interviewing silly people, as can be seen in the interview below, where she takes on Gloria Allred over the anti-abortion ad that football star Tim Tebow and his mom appear in that will be played at this Sunday’s Superbowl:

Sarah, for her part, stands solidly behind the Tebows, and called out the National Organization of Women for their opposition to the ad, as you can read here.

Back to Sarah’s smackdown of Emanuel. This once again shows that Sarah is using her position of power and influence for good. It also shows that Sarah is making those on the left play by their own rules!

Those who read Sarah’s book, Going Rogue: An American Life, know that she is well aware of who Saul Alinsky is, and has read his book, Rules for Radicals, as well as The Thumpin’, a book written about Rahm Emanuel and his caustic style of doing business.

Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules. You can kill them with this, for they can no more obey their own rules than the Christian church can live up to Christianity.”

—Rule number 4 Saul Alynsky’s Rules for Radicals

The left has shoved political correctness down the world’s throat for decades. It’s good to see they are finally being forced to live up to their own standards. All it took was someone with the cojones to make it happen.

Thank you Sarah, thank you for being fearless.

OMG, that phrase is to indicate something stupid now. Only idiots get offended. If I were to come up with a plan and someone told me it was retarded I’d take a second look and see if it was really a good idea in the first place.

1. The Obama administration has a track record of slurring and slighting against the disabled.

2. Target of opportunity.

Hey, it’s ROGUE not rouge-that’s make-up!

Susan,

Thanks for pointing out the typo. I corrected it this morning. Gary most decidedly meant “rogue” not “rouge”.

April,

The news report is spot on. If someone on the GOP side dropped F****** N*****, all hell would break loose. If someone on the GOP side made fun of handicapped people, the liberals would crucify them. Liberals seems to think that nothing applies to them.

This is an excellent think piece which should be shared with all that are concerned. It is important all aspects are brought to light so that issue can be understood in its entirety.

this is political correctness run amok.

i think its pretty obvious this is a hamhanded attempt at politcal points, he said this MONTHS ago, in a private meeting.
(have you ever heard the nixon tapes?)

we are constantly softening our language to take the reality and bad feelings out of everything.

it used to be “shell shock” then it became ” battle fatigue” then “post tramatic stress disorder” now, its PTSD.

from shell shock, to PTSD.

we have politicains busy apologising over nonsense when uneployment is hovering at 10%.

pick your battles better…

hey, here is an idea Sarah, why not come up with a tangible, realistic, clearly explained plan to convince the american people that you and your party get us out of this mess?

This is not about PC. Rahm is a high priority target of opportunity. Rush Limbaugh used “retard” to describe liberals. You don’t see Gov. Palin or us going after him for it. And given that Michael Savage wrote a book titled Liberalism Is a Mental Disorder: Savage Solutions, we would regard that as — well “different.” All is fair in love and war.

Neither Gov. Palin, nor her supporters here at US for Palin endorse political correctness (PC). In fact, we think it is a cancer on our society.

ok, then you totally contradicted yourself.
pick your battles. even if he is a high priority target….

this just makes palin supporters look like there trying to score cheap political points when most people, seeing the context of the matter dont care.

Loop,

Freedom of the press belongs to the owner of the press. When it’s your time, money, blood, sweat, and tears being put in, you get to set the tone of the site. If you want a soapbox from wish to trash Gov. Palin, register a domain, buy hosting, and build a site. No one is stopping you. But what commentary gets posted here is at my discretion and at my author’s discretion. Get it? Got it? Good.

Most sites moderate comments. You can’t post curse-laden rants in most places. And being as I set this site up in support of Governor Palin, this is not the place to come and trash her. Take it elsewhere.
