Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin did not renew her contract with Fox News, Scott Conroy, Real Clear Politics reported today, citing an anonymous source.

“It’s my understanding that Gov. Palin was offered a contract by FOX, and she decided not to renew the arrangement,” the source close to Palin told RCP. “She remains focused on broadening her message of common-sense conservatism across the country and will be expanding her voice in the national discussion.”

  • “a source close to the former Alaska governor”…I would say it is true but this is a funny way for it to come out…

      Lynda,

I agree. It’s still an anonymous source though, because the source is not named. It’s why I was very careful to attribute the story to Conroy and RCP. This way, on the off chance that it’s wrong – I took the right steps. I tend to believe it though, because we are now on the 25th and Gov. Palin has not been on Fox this month at all – just a blip on Greta from two years back. We know that Roger Ailes had an axe to grind with Gov. Palin over the blood libel thing, her choosing to announce her non-candidacy for POTUS on the Levin show and her Facebook Status about the cancellation of her interviews scheduled during the GOP convention.

Note that the choice to not renew was hers according to the story – Fox offered a renewal contract.
