Gov. Palin tonight completed her 16-stop America by Heart book tour in Columbia, SC, as hundreds of supporters waited up to 24 hours in two severe thunderstorms. A VietNam veteran, Pete Catoe was the first in line and described his brief meeting with Gov. Palin as being just as exciting as the day he was sent home from the war in 1962. “I see her in 2012 in a different position, Catoe said. “Palin brought smiles to hundreds of faces tonight: hand by hand, person by person, book by book,” the WOLO reporter said.
