Gov. Palin to speak at event in remembrance of Terri Schiavo

The Terri Schiavo Life & Hope Network annually marks the anniversary of her death with Terri’s Day. This year Sarah Palin will be the honored speaker at the network’s Award Gala, which will follow Terri’s Memorial Mass, celebrated by Arachbishop Charles Chaput of the Diocese of Philadelphia.

“We are delighted to have His Excellency, Archbishop Chaput, as the main celebrant for Terri’s Memorial Mass and Governor Palin as the keynote speaker at our first Award Gala. Our intention is to raise the needed awareness of this widely misunderstood issue so that the general public recognizes how our medically vulnerable remain in the cross-hairs of an anti-life mentality growing in our nation,” noted Bobby Schindler, Terri’s brother and Executive Director of the Terri Schiavo Life & Hope Network.

    Isn’t it too soon after this awful tragedy to be exploiting it for political purposes? What the ??? does this have to do with Palin aiming an assault rifle at something?

      Terri Schiavo died seven years ago going on eight. What exactly is Gov. Palin exploiting by speaking at a gala following a memorial mass in her honor? What does this gala have to do with Newtown which you obviously reference implicitly in your comment?

      As for the assault rifle – it’s an M4 by the way – Gov. Palin supports our Second Amendment – first and foremost; number two she was aiming it on a range in Kuwait during a military training exercise in 2007. Number three if you haven’t figured it out – we’re very comfortable with assault rifles around here – that was the first picture I saw of her and I loved it. This is a gun-themed site.       Stop flipping the script. The people exploiting Newtown are Cuomo, Obama, Biden, Feinstein and Co. And if they truly wanted guns off the street, they would have kept their big mouths shut and moved along. What they accomplished instead is having us (us being the people of this nation) buy enough assault rifles in a single month to outfit the entire armies of both China and India combined. They want to ban? Let them come and take them. This isn’t 1994 when we were asleep at the switch. We’re awake this time.

      For my part, I want Gov. Palin and her M4 standing guard over this house we call the USA.
