Palin Derangement Syndrome (PDS) truly knows no bounds. Blind, searing hatred mixed with chutzpah is its fuel. Witness the case of D-List Queen Extraordinaire Kathy Griffin, who was widely reported to have “taken aim at Sarah Palin” in an Anchorage comedy show, where she was “skewered.” The brief AP dispatch, which made international news stated that none other than Levi Johnston introduced Griffin at her show and that she stopped by the Palins’ house – uninvited and without permission – to leave a last-minute invite to her show. She then proceeded to go to the start of the Iditarod – Alaska’s state sport – with Wasilla as its home. What business did Griffin have being there? None. Meanwhile, Governor Palin graciously took time out of her schedule to cut a video advertisement for the Iditarod, and did not charge one penny for her time. “Those inescapable Sarah Palin ads for the Iditarod’s subscription Web site were filmed just last Sunday, with Palin volunteering her time, Iditarod director Stan Hooley said [March 5, 2010]” (Hopkins, 2010, ¶1). “Palin wasn’t paid for the spot, [Hooley] said. ‘She has absolutely volunteered for it’” (Hopkins, 2010, ¶8).

Griffin has had nothing good to say about the Palins, as evidenced by the bashing on her own website. Her choice of Levi Johnston as a friend reveals much about the content of her character, none of it good. Johnston has been grossly derelict in the care of his child and has chosen to pursue the life of a soft-core porn star, rather than working an honest job and providing for the family he created. Bristol is the one working, going to school and raising Tripp. Griffin is reputed to be something of a cougar on the prowl. Could Levi Johnston be her latest quarry? In any case, birds of a feather flock together, or putting it another way – they deserve each other.
Declaring someone your enemy, entering upon her private property to invite her to a forum where your sole intent is to bash her, then going to the start of an event for which your declared enemy produced a free ad is the height of chutzpah and delusion of grandeur.
Perhaps the most appropriate next step for this D-List queen is to take over the “F list.” “F” as in “FAIL,” along with the rest of the “PDS” afflicted.

Sarah, be strong against those who would hurt you and your family. There are many of us out here who appreciate what you are doing for America and hope for nothing but the best for you.
Of course, Griffin hates Palin. Palin is the moral, ethical and female antithesis of Griffin…and, not to mention, Sarah has a better sense of humor.
I wonder if Kathy Griffin ever gets tired of being so obnoxious and utterly crass? She reminds me of Rosanne Barr…always spewing hate for other people.
Griffin should take a lesson from Palin, and she would probably have a lot more fans if she did.
