U.S. Senate candidate Steve Lonegan said on the Palin Update with Kevin Scholla that his campaign is a referendum on the Obama administration and what it is doing to our country. He predicted that New Jersey would become a red state.
While Lonegan has campaigned throughout the state, his leftist opponent – Cory Booker – has spent his time in Hollywood, getting the stars to back him. Lonegan says he is a true conservative who supports limited government and free markets.
Lonegan supported former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin since John McCain introduced her to the world stage. He admires her courage to speak out on important issues regardless of what people might think or the consequences might be. Lonegan said he shares that trait in common with Gov. Palin. If he were a Senator, Lonegan said he would have stood with Ted Cruz in his marathon 21-hour filibuster to defund ObamaCare.
The NRA-backed Lonegan is running for a special election on Wednesday, October 16 to fill the vacancy left by Frank Lautenberg who died June 6. He is conducting an old-school door-to-door campaign, also attending events and speeches in up to five counties per day. He said Booker and Obama “are one of the same.”
Commonwealth Commonsense: Dems Hypocrites on Gov’t Shutdown
Susan Stimpson said the Democrats are hypocritically blaming Republicans for a possible government shutdown when Obama refuses to negotiate. She said she was unsure if whether delaying ObamaCare a year would give an opportunity to elect new Senators and a Republican President to get it repealed entirely.
Steel Resolve: Ghosts and Spirits in the GOP
Using a quote from a favorite movie, “don’t be a ghost, be a spirit,” Steelman described Sens. Cruz and Lee as spirits honoring their campaign promises, and keeping the public trust while the timid establishment ghosts cowered.
