PPP: Palin ‘far more popular’ than actual GOP presidential candidates

As Democrat pollsters PPP teased yesterday, their latest national survey indicates that Gov. Palin enjoys much greater popularity than any of the actual Republican candidates in the race:

The talk of a brokered convention never seems to die down and one interesting finding on this poll was that Sarah Palin is far more popular than any of the actual Republican candidates in the race. Her net favorability is +48, with 68% of voters rating her favorably to only 20% with a negative opinion. That compares favorably to +29 for Santorum, +19 for Romney, and -26 for Paul.

Palin is someone GOP delegates might be able to unify around in the case of a hopelessly deadlocked convention. She is seen positively by Gingrich voters (85/7), Santorum supporters (80/10), and Romney ones (57/27) alike. That’s a contrast to Romney who is disliked by both Santorum (38/48) and Gingrich (32/54) voters and Santorum who is disliked by Romney (38/48) voters and only seen narrowly favorably by Gingrich (46/42) backers.

Which begs the question: In the case of an open convention, who might put her name into nomination for president to the delegates?

First Romney must not get to 1100, I am on the ballot for delegate in D-12 PA primary April24 and have a campaign plan to win. It would be a great honor to nominate the next President — Sarah Palin For this to work American Grizzlies United needs to educated the delegates. Most have not seen the Undefeated, CPAC2012, Iowa Sept 3, or the Foreign policy speech at Colorado Christian U. DVD's can be sent to all delegates with a letter stating the case for Sarah as the only one to beat Zero

    • Christopher, yes! That's the stuff! Not pretending Sarah is running, but actually doing something. Are you in contact with your state coordinator and with Thomas?

Ron, I passed this idea along to Thomas a month ago, but until we know what happens in May it is an idea on hold. We may be stuck with Romney. In my area there are 10 people on the ballot for delegate 4 are elected. I am working with one other guy any we have 10,000 palm card to hand out on election day & before. The state co-or is a non factor

    • Understood. I'll email you privately to discuss further. I want to push this. But, we also have to make the thing go brokered, or you won't even have the opportunity to nominate her.
