Sarah Palin: Biden may ‘call in sick’ night of VP debate

Gov. Palin called into “America Live” on Fox News early Thursday afternoon and joked that Joe Biden may be dreading the scheduled vice presidential debate with Paul Ryan:

The former Alaska governor said Matt Romney and Ryan will have to be prepared for attacks from “Obama’s lapdogs in the liberal media” who will stop at nothing to help reelect “the chosen one.” The Republican ticket mates, she added, must present “a clear plan” to turn the country around and must make sure that voters understand it.

When host Megyn Kelly mentioned the recent firing of Yahoo! News Washington Bureau Chief David Chalian for his comment picked up by an open microphone that Republicans were “not concerned at all” about Hurricane Issac because “They are happy to have a party with black people drowning,” the Mama Grizzly related her own personal experience with the man. “I had to deal with him four years ago, ” she recalled. “He changed the context of my remarks” made to Charlie Gibson in an ABC News interview while she was a candidate for vice president in 2008. Palin told Kelly she was “glad that yahoo got canned.” Chalian, who was working for the network at the time, produced the edited final version of the interview.

The Tea Party favorite also said that she thought Paul Ryan’s acceptance speech to the 2012 RNC Convention Wednesday night was “great,” and she praised the Congressman for presenting “big ideas.” Governor Palin then quipped that Biden may feel “tempted to call in sick” on the night of the upcoming debate when Ryan and the vice president will face each other.
