Gov. Palin returned to Fox News’ “Hannity” Thursday night to with analysis of recent events. She told host Sean Hannity, “We have to ask ourselves — and the media should ask President Obama — how much longer can we afford to spill our blood and treasure… to support Sharia democracy?”
The former Alaska governor said the idea that an anti-Muslim film was the fuse that supposedly ignited a firestorm in the Arab world is “a red herring.” The real problem, she explained, is that the Obama administration “dropped the ball.” The administration, she said, has “adopted a foreign policy of appeasement where our enemies no longer fear us, and our friends no longer trust us.”
The first woman to be named the Republican Party’s vice presidential candidate also declared Obama’s initiative to improve U.S. relations with the Muslim world, as laid out in his 2009 speech in Cairo, Egypt, a failure. She said the president was “absolutely naive” in foreign policy to believe that could be accomplished with “a big group hug from America.”
Governor Palin condemned the State Department for not preparing for possible violence directed at U.S. embassies and consulates in the Arab world in advance of the eleventh anniversary of the 9/11 terrorists attacks.
